- Het Max Planck Instituut voor Psycholinguïstiek is één van de meer dan 80 onderzoeksinstituten van de Duitse Max-Planck-Gesellschaft. Het MPI in Nijmegen is één van de weinige buiten Duitsland en het is het enige instituut in de wereld dat zich volledig wijdt aan psycholinguïstiek, het onderzoek naar hoe we taal produceren en begrijpen en hoe we deze vaardigheden leren als eerste of tweede taalverwervers. Het instituut heeft nauwe banden met het Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour in Nijmegen.
